Herefordshire Placenames

Many of the published registers of the Bishops of Hereford were translated and transcribed for printing by Canon Arthur Thomas Bannister, a noted diocesan historian who is buried in Donnington churchyard. In addition to his work on diocesan records, in 1916 AT Bannister also published a book of Herefordshire Placenames and the following pages have been extracted from his book.
