ABINGTON, a parish in the hundred of SPELHOE,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 5 mile (N.N.E.) from Northampton,
containing 175 inhabitants. The living is a
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese
of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £12,
and in the patronage of J. H. Thursby, Esq. The
church, dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul, exhibits
various styles of English architecture.
