ADDLETHORPE, a parish in the Marsh division
of the wapentake of CANDLESHOE, parts of LINDSEY,
county of LINCOLN, 9 miles (E. S. E.) from Alford,
containing 176 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £9. 10. 2., and in the
patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to
St. Nicholas.
