The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £6. 18. 4., and in the patronage of Col. Wilson. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. The Union canal to Derby crosses the river Soar at this place.
