AMCOTTS, a chapelry in the parish of ALTHORP,
western division of the wapentake of MANLEY, parts of
LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 11 miles (E. S. E.) from
Glandford-Bridge, containing 346 inhabitants. The
chapel is dedicated to St. Thomas a Becket. There is
a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
