ANTHONY-in-ROSELAND (ST.), a parish in the
western division of the hundred of POWDER, county of
CORNWALL, 9 miles (S. W. by S.) from Tregony, containing
179 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy,
in the archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese of
Exeter, and in the patronage of the Earl of Falmouth.
Here was a priory of Augustine canons, subordinate
to that of Plympton.
