ROTHWELL, county of NORTHAMPTON, 4 miles (S. by
E.) from Market-Harborough, containing, with the
extra-parochial liberty of Barford, 219 inhabitants.
The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton,
and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the
king's books at £12. 2. 8., and in the patronage of
L. Rokeby, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew.
A school here is endowed with land producing £24
per annum.
