ASGARBY, a parish in the western division of the soke of BOLINGBROKE, parts of LJNUSUY, county of LINCOLN, 5£. miles (W. by N.) from Spilsby, containing 77 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the t ' II A S H AS H peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln, and in the patronage of the Prebendary of Asgarby in the Cathedral Church of Lincoln. In 1667, Henry Pell bequeathed a rent-charge of £10 for the Instruction of poor children of Asgarby, Howell, and Eveden, in the charity school at Ewerby.
