ASTON (MIDDLE), a township in the parish of
STEEPLE-ASTON, hundred of WOOTTON, county of OXFORD,
3 miles (S. by E.) from Deddington, containing
120 inhabitants. Dr. Ratcliffe, in 1640, bequeathed
land, now producing about £20 a year, in support of
a grammar school.
