ASTON (NORTH), a parish in the hundred of
WOOTTON, county of OXFORD, 2 miles (S. S. E.) from
Deddington, containing 296 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese
of Oxford, rated in the king's books at £6. 10., and
in the patronage of John F. Willes, Esq. The church
is dedicated to St. Mary. There is a place of worship
for Wesleyan Methodists.
