ASTON-BLANK, or COLD-ASTON, a parish in the hundred of BRADLEY, county of GLOUCESTER, 4 miles (N. by E.) from North Leach, containing 296 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Gloucester, rated in the king's books at £6. 12. 4., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. The parish is bounded on the north and north-east by the river Windrush, and on the south-east by the Roman Fosse-way. Here is a small endowed school.
