BADLEY, a parish in the hundred of BOSMERE-and-CLAYDON, county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (W. N. W.) from Needham, containing 84 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, and in the patronage of the Earl of Ashburnham and C. Boone, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The navigable river Gep flows through the parish. The hall, once the seat of the Pooleys, is now a farm-house.
