BANHAM, a parish in the hundred of GUILT-CROSS, county of NORFOLK, 5 miles (B. by N.) from East Harling, containing 1195 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich; rated in the king's books at £9. 3. 6., and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The parochial school has a small endowment.
