BARKHAM, a parish in the hundred of CHARLTON, county of BERKS, 2 miles (S. W. by W.) from Woking ham, containing 215 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Berks, and diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £5. 15. 7., and in the patronage of the Rev. H. E. St. John. The church is de dicated to St. James.
