BARKWITH (EAST), a parish in the eastern division
of the wapentake of WRAGGOE, parts of LINDSEY,
county of LINCOLN, 3 miles (N. E.) from Wragby, containing
195 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £11. 10. 10., and in the
patronage of G. R. Heneage, Esq. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary.
