BAYDON, a parish in the hundred of RAMSBURY, county of WILTS, 4 miles (N.) from Ramobury, con taining 313 inhabitants. The living in a perpetual curacy, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean of Salinbury, endowed with £800 private benefaction, and £100 royal bounty, and in the patronage of Sir Francis Burdett, Bart. The church is dedicated to St. Nicholas. Tlide is a place of worship forWesleyan Methodists.
