BECKHAM (EAST), a parish in the northern division
of the hundred of ERPINGHAM, county of NORFOLK,
4 miles (W. by S.) from Cromer, containing 48
inhabitants. The church, which was dedicated to St,
Helen, has long been desecrated: it is a picturesque
i;uin, the southern porch and the walls of the nave and
chancel, the only parts now remaining, being covered
with ivy: the inhabitants resort to the church at West
Beckham.
