BECKINGHAM, a parish in the wapentake of Lo- VEDEN, parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 5 miles (E.) from Newark, containing 430 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with the perpetual curacy of Stragglesthorpe annexed, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £41. 6. 8., and in the patronage of Robert Moody, Esq. The church, dedicated to All Saints, is partly Norman, and partly in the early style of English architecture: the tower, ornamented with pinnacles, is in the later English style.
