BIDICK (SOUTH), a township in the parish of HOUGHTON-le-SPRING, northern division of EASINGTON ward, county palatine of DURHAM, <5 miles (S. W. by W.) from Sunderland, containing 167 inhabitants. The unfortunate James Drummond, commonly called Duke of Perth, sought an asylum here after the "rebellion of 1745, where he lived concealed until his death in 1?82.
