BINTREE, a parish in the hundred of EYNSFORD, county of NORFOLK, l^; mile (S. W. by W.) from Foulsham, containing 333 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with that of Themelthorpe annexed, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £10, and in the patronage of Sir Jacob Astley, Bart. The church is dedicated to St. Swithin. The river Wensom, which separates the parish from North Elmham, is expected to be made navigable to Norwich.
