BISHOPSTON, a chapelry in the parish of OLD-STRATFORD,
Stratford division of the hundred of BARLICHWAY,
county of WARWICK, 2 miles (N.N.W.) from
Stratford upon Avon, with which place the population
is returned. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the
archdeaconry and diocese of Worcester, endowed with
£ 1000 royal bounty, and £ 200 parliamentary grant, and
in the patronage of the Vicar of Stratford. The chapel,
dedicated to St. Peter, is in ruins.
