BLATHERWYCKE, a parish in the hundred ot CORBY, county of NORTHAMPTON, 8 miles (E. N. E.) from Rockingham, containing 240 inhabitants. "aS living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the kings books at £14. 13. 3., and in the patronage of S. O'Brien, Esq. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Blatherwycke anciently comprised two parishes, which were united in 1448, since which, one of the churches, dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene, has been demolished.
