BLENCOGO, a township in that part of the parish
of BROMFIELD which is in CUMBERLAND ward, county
of CUMBERLAND, 4 miles (W. by S.) from Wigton, containing
216 inhabitants. The Rev. Jonathan Boucher,
who published a " Supplement to Dr. Johnson's Dictionary,"
was born here, in 1738.
