BOTHENHAMPTON, a parish in the liberty of
LOTHERS-and-BOTHENHAMPTON, Bridport division of
the county of DORSET, l£ mile (S. E. by S.) from Bridport,
containing 385 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual
curacy, in the archdeaconry of Dorset, and diocese
of Bristol, and in the patronage of the Countess of
Abingdon. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
This parish is bounded on the west by an sestuary called
Bridport harbour.
