BRAMCOTE, a chapelry in the parish of ATTENBOROUGH, southern division of the wapentake of BaoxTOW, county of NOTTINGHAM, 4 miles (W. S. W.) from Nottingham, containing 441 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Attenborough, in the archdeaconry of Nottingham, and diocese of York. The Nottingham canal passes through the chapelry. Coal is obtained on the moor.
