BRATTLEBY, a parish in the wapentake of LAWRESS, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles (N. N. W.) from Lincoln, containing 157 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £7- 10.5 and in the patronage of the Master and Fellows of Balliol College, Oxford. The church, dedicated to St. Cuthbert, has been rebuilt, hut part of the ancient walls still remain.
