BRATTON-FLEMING, a parish in the hundred of BRAUNTON, county of DEVON, 5 miles (N. E. by E.) from Barnstaple, containing 490 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Barnstaple, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £29.15. 5., and in the patronage of the Master and Fellows of Caius College, Cambridge. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. At Nightacott, in this neighbourhood, are six upright stones, the supposed remains of a Druidical circle.
