BRAUNSTON, a parish in the soke of OAKHAM, county of RUTLAND, 2 miles (S. W.) from Oakham, containing 423 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Hambleton, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough. The church is dedicated to. All Saints. There is a small endowment for the instruction of twenty children, given by Augustine Burton, in 1614.
