The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Colchester, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £3. 6. 8., and in the patronage of Francis Capell, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Nicholas, is an ancient edifice, with a circular chancel.
