BRAYBROOK, a parish in the hundred of ROTHWELL, county of NORTHAMPTON, 2 miles (S.E.) from Market-Harborough, containing 379 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £23. 6. 10., and in the patronage of Luke Young, Esq. The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Particular Baptists. A small endowment for the instruction of poor children arises from two bequests of £ 50 each, one by John Mapletoft, in 1684, and the other by Samuel Hawes, in 1722. Braybrook gives the title of baron to the family of Neville-Griffin.
