BRAYTOFT, a parish in the Wold division of the
wapentake of CANDLESHOE, parts of LINDSEY, county
of LINCOLN, 6 miles (B. by S.) from Spilsby, containing
179 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £18. 3. 6., and in the patronage of the
Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Peter and St.
Paul.
