BRIMPTON, a parish in the hundred of STONE,
county of SOMERSET, 2 miles (W. S; W.) from Yeovil,
containing 125 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of
Bath and Wells, rated in the Icing's books at £7. 7.,
endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200
royal bounty, and in the patronage of Thomas S. Horner,
Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew.
