BRISTON, a parish in the hundred of HOLT, county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (S.S.W.) from Holt, containing J89 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, jn the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £4. 9. 9., and in the patronage of H. Thomas Jones, Esq. -The church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. Thomasine Seamier, in 1667, bequeathed £110 for teaching and apprenticing children.
