BRITWELL-SALOME, a parish in the hundred
of LEWKNOR, county of OXFORD, 5 miles (S. by W.)
from Tetsworth, containing 192 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford,
rated in the king's books at £6. 19. 2., and in the
patronage of Mrs. Stopes. The church is dedicated to
St. Nicholas.
