BROUGH-FERRY, a township in the parish of
ELLOUGHTON, partly in the Hunsley-Beacon division of
the wapentake of HARTHILL, and partly in the liberty
of ST-PETER-of-YORK, East riding of the county of
YORK, 3 miles (S. S. E.) from South Cave. The population
is returned with the parish. Here is a ferry across
