BURRINGTON, a parish in the hundred of WIGMORE,
county of HEREFORD, 4 miles (W. S. W.) from
Ludlow, containing 194 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and
diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £5,
and in the patronage of the Crown. The church is
dedicated to St. George.
