BUSHLEY, a parish in the. lower division of the hundred of PERSHORE, county of WORCESTER, 2 miles (N. W.) from Tewkesfeury, containing 366 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of "Worcester, endowed with £400 royal bounty, and £200 parliamentary grant, and'in the patronage of T. Dowdeswell, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. Here is a small charity school, supported by Miss Dowdeswell. .The eastern boundary bf this parish is formed by t"he river Severn, into which the Avon falls from the opposite side, below Tewkefsbury, in Gloucestershire.
