CAENBY, a parish in the eastern division of the wapentake of ASLACOE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 2 miles (W.) from Market-Rasen, containing 121 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of. Stow, and diocese of Lincoln, rated the king's books at £4. 13. 4., endowed with £200 bounty, and in the patronage of Sir C. M. L. k, Bart. The church is dedicated to St Nicholas. Ihe river Ancholme .bounds the parish on the east.
