CALDECOT, a parish in the southern division of
the hundred of GREENHOE, county of NORFOLK, 4
miles (N. E.) from Stoke-Ferry, containing 37 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in
the king's books at £3. 1. 10. The church, which
was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, has been in ruins
upwards of a century and a half, and the village has
entirely disappeared.
