CALSTONE-WILLINGTON, a parish in the hundred
of CALNE, county of WILTS, 3 miles (S. E. by E.)
from Calne, containing 35 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Wilts, and
diocese of Salisbury, rated in the king's books at
£4. 13. 4., endowed with £200 private benefaction,
and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the
Marquis of Lansdowne. The church is dedicated to
St. Mary. Here is a school for six children, who are
taught and supplied with books at the charge of the
minister.
