CAPLE, a chapelry in the parish of TUDELEY,
partly in the Lowey of TONBRIDGE, but chiefly in the
hundred of WASHLINGSTONE, lathe of AYLESFORD,
county of KENT, 3 miles (E. S. E.) from Tonbridge,
containing 330 inhabitants. The chapel is dedicated to
St. Thomas a Becket.
