CATFIELD, a parish in the hundred of HAPPING, county of NORFOLK, 1 miles (E. by N.) from Coltishall, containing 581 inhabitants. The living consists of a discharged rectory and vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £7. 10., and in the patronage of the Bishop, of Norwich and the Earl of Shrewsbury, alternately.
