CATTERAL, a township in the parish of GARSTANG,
hundred of AMOUNDERNESS, county palatine of LANCASTER,
1 mile (S. S. W.) from Garstang, containing
704 inhabitants. The village contains one of the oldest
and most extensive print-works in the county, situated
at the confluence of the West Calder with the river
Wyre.
