CAYTHORPE, a parish in the wapentake of LOVEDEN,
parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 9 miles
(N. by E.) from Grantham, containing, with the hamlet
of Friston, 567 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £20. 11. 10., and in the patronage of
C. J. Packe, Esq.. The church, dedicated to St. Vincent,
is a curious cruciform structure, principally in the decorated
style of English architecture. There is a place
of worship for' Wesleyan Methodists.
