CHEDGRAVE, a parish in the hundred of LODDON, county of NORFOLK, 7 miles (N. W. by N.) from Beccles, containing 302 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £5. 6. 8., and in the patronage of Sir W. B. Proctor, Bart. The church, dedicated to All Saints, has a fine Norman door, and the steeple stands at the northeastern end.
