CHISENBURY, a tything in the parish of NETHERAVON,
hundred of ELSTUB-and-EVERLEY, county of
WILTS, 9 miles (W. by N.) from Ludgershall, containing
41 inhabitants. This tything forms part of the endowment
of the prebend of Chute and Chisenbury in
the Cathedral Church of Salisbury, and is within the
peculiar jurisdiction of the prebendary,
