CONINGSBY,, a parish in the soke of HORNCASTLE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 1 mile (E. N. E.)- from Tattershall, containing 1651 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £39. 10. 2., and in the patronage of Sir Gilbert Heathcote, Bart. The church is dedicated to St. Michael. There are places of worship for General Baptists and Primitive and Wesleyan Methodists.
