COTTERED, a parish in the hundred of ODSEY,
county of HERTFORD, 3 miles (W.) from Buntingford,
containing 410 inhabitants. The living is a rectory,
with that of Broadfield annexed, in the archdeaconry
of Huntingdon, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £20. 8. 6., and in the patronage of the
Misses Jones. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
