CRANSLEY, a parish in the hundred of ORLINGBURY,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 3 miles (W. S. W.)
from Kettering,, containing 250 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton,
and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the
king's books at £8. 5., endowed with £400 private
benefaction, and £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage
of J. C. Rose, Esq. The church is dedicated to
St. Andrew.
