CROOM (EARL'S), a parish in the lower division
of the hundred of OSWALDSLOW, county of WORCESTER,
2 miles (N.E. by E.) from Upton upon Severn, containing
186 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Worcester, rated in
the king's books at £7. 8. l., and in the patronage
of the Rev. Charles Dunne. The church, dedicated to
St. Nicholas,.is an old building in the Norman style.
